Evaluation of bioactivities in vivo in Caenorhabditis elegans

C. elegans is a 1 mm nematode that makes possible the in vivo evaluation of bioactivities in a whole animal, thus reducing the experimentation with rodents or with other animals with social or complex behaviors. At the same time, analogies at the biochemical and genetic levels allows to study the effects of multiple substances in a whole animal.

C. elegans

is grown under optimal conditions of temperature, humidity and food source and experiments are designed to limit experimenter intervention. We offer our experience in the evaluation in vivo of anti-aging effects, antioxidant activity, lipid accumulation, tumour reduction …

Activities can be tested for pure compounds, extracts, foods and formulations.
